Week 4 Results
The first game of the round was a 2-2 draw between DC United and the Chicago Fire. Then, the Philadelphia Union and Montréal Impact tied 1-1. One of the late winners was scored by Sporting KC in their 3-2 win over the Colorado Rapids. The Vancouver Whitecaps won 2-1 over the Houston Dynamo, and FC Dallas won 2-1 over the Portland Timbers. Real Salt Lake had a huge 3-0 victory over Toronto FC, and the Seattle Sounders lost late at home 2-1. The SJ Earthquakes lost late at home
to the NE Revolution 2-1, and the NY Red Bulls tied the game up late at home 1-1 against Chivas USA. Those were the results of the last games. Now, let's take a look at upcoming matches.
Upcoming Schedule
In Week 5, only one team has a bye, and that's the SJ Earthquakes. The round will start off with a Cascadia Rivalry matchup between the Portland Timbers and Seattle Sounders. Then, the Montréal Impact will travel to play the NY Red Bulls, and the Chicago Fire will host the Philadelphia Union. The undefeated Columbus Crew will host Toronto FC, and the Colorado Rapids will travel to play the Vancouver Whitecaps. DC United will host the NE Revolution, and the Texas Derby will take place in Houston, when the Dynamo battle FC Dallas. Sporting KC will host Real Salt Lake, which will be just like the 2013 MLS Cup Final, and the SuperClasico will happen at the StubHub Center, with Chivas USA hosting the LA Galaxy. Those are the upcoming matches, and now, let's take a look at my MLS Fantasy tips for this upcoming round.
MLS Fantasy Tips
In Week 5, there appear to be some pretty good opportunities for you to get some players that can rack you up points. In the Cascadia Derby, players that are considerable are Gastón Fernández, Will Johnson, or Darlington Nagbe. On Seattle, you could consider Kenny Cooper, Leo Gonzalez, or Obafemi Martins. One player that I definitely recommend that you get on your team is Federico Higuaín. He's had impressive performances this last round, and at home, I think that he can get you lots of points. Another player to consider would be Vicente Sánchez on the Colorado Rapids. He's scored four goals already this season, and if there's a penalty kick awarded to Colorado, he'll be the man to take it. This week may also be the week for Diego Fagundez to shine. While he hasn't scored yet this season, the Revs are traveling to play DC United, who still haven't found their defensive form quite yet. Aurélien Collin wouldn't be a bad choice, since he can get you clean sheets, and goals, too. One more player that I think is considerable is Erick "el Cubo" Torres. He has four goals in four games, and he will be playing against an LA team that is winless so far, and will be playing for a changed Chivas USA team. Other picks would include Marco Di Vaio, Mauro Diaz, Kenny Miller, or Mauro Rosales. Those are my MLS Fantasy picks for this upcoming round.
