The Montréal Impact will host Toronto FC, and the NY Red Bulls will play the NE Revolution. The SJ Earthquakes will host the Seattle Sounders, and the Houston Dynamo will play DC United. The final game of the round will be between Chivas USA and FC Dallas. Those are the upcoming matches, and now, let's take a look at my MLS Fantasy tips for this upcoming round.

MLS Fantasy Tips

This is going to be a very busy round, and no team will have a bye. A player that I've been looking at is Gyasi Zardes on the LA Galaxy. He has been in great form lately, and in his last three games, he's averaged about eight points per game. He does not have the double-game week, but I think that he'll get good points against Portland at home. Another player to look at would be Jermain Defoe. He has a double-game week. He's currently a shoe-in for the MLS Newcomer of the Year Award, and I wouldn't bet against him getting lots of points in his matches this round. One more player that I would recommend adding to your team is Bradley Wright-Phillips. Nobody has more goals then him, and he has a double-game week, meaning that he could get you even more points. Those are my picks for this round. Take a look at the schedule, and use the great opportunities to your advantage.

Soccer Blog - Week 20

Hello, everybody, and welcome to another article of Super Soccer Ian. It was a long round, but an exciting one, as there were lots of goals scored. Let's get things started by reviewing the most recent results.

Round 19 Results

Things started off with a 3-1 win for the Philadelphia Union over the NY Red Bulls. Then, Sporting KC beat the Columbus Crew 2-1, and Toronto FC tied 1-1 with the Vancouver Whitecaps. The LA Galaxy won 5-1 over the NE Revolution, and the Colorado Rapids lost 2-1 to the Portland Timbers. Sporting KC beat the LA Galaxy 2-1, and the NY Red Bulls tied 1-1 with the SJ Earthquakes. The Columbus Crew beat the Montréal Impact 2-1, and the Chicago Fire tied 1-1 with the Philadelphia
Union. FC Dallas beat the NE Revolution 2-0, and the Houston Dynamo tied 2-2 with Toronto FC. Real Salt Lake tied 1-1 with the Vancouver Whitecaps, and DC United beat Chivas USA 3-1. Those are the most recent results. Now, let's take a look at the upcoming schedule.

Upcoming Schedule

The first game of the next round will be between the SJ Earthquakes and the Chicago Fire. Real Salt Lake will then host the Montréal Impact, and Chivas USA will travel to play the Colorado Rapids. Toronto FC will play Sporting KC, and the NE Revolution will play the Columbus Crew. FC Dallas will travel to play the Vancouver Whitecaps, and the Montréal Impact will host the Portland Timbers. The final game of the round will be between the LA Galaxy and Seattle Sounders. That is the upcoming schedule, and now, let's take a look at my MLS Fantasy tips for this upcoming round.

MLS Fantasy Tips

This round will be a shorter one, but there are always point opportunities out there in MLS Fantasy. One player that I think you should try to get on your team is Andrés Escobar on FC Dallas. Normally, he's a reserve player, but he's averaged about six points per game in his last three, and I think that he might get the start against Vancouver. Another smart addition to your squad would be Jeff Larentowicz on Chicago. While the Fire are on the road, the SJ Earthquakes haven't been playing well this year, and he's a guaranteed starter for the Fire. I think that he'll get some points, especially considering that he scored in the last game against the Philadelphia Union. One more player that you could consider is Robbie Keane. Even though the Sounders have been very good lately, I think that he may still get a goal against the Sounders, just because he's done so quite often in the past. Those are my MLS Fantasy tips for this upcoming round.

won 4-1 over the Columbus Crew, and the Philadelphia Union tied with the Colorado Rapids 3-3. Toronto FC beat the Houston Dynamo 4-2, and Sporting KC won 2-1 over the Montréal Impact. The Chicago Fire won 1-0 over the NE Revolution, including a penalty save from Sean Johnson, and Chivas USA got their fourth straight win, beating the Vancouver Whitecaps 3-1. The LA Galaxy won 1-0 over Real Salt Lake, and the Sounders beat the Portland Timbers 2-0. Those are the most recent results, and now, let's take a look at the upcoming schedule.

Upcoming Schedule

The first game of the round will be between the Philadelphia Union hosting the NY Red Bulls. Then, Sporting KC will face the Columbus Crew on the road, and Toronto FC will play the Vancouver Whitecaps. The LA Galaxy will play the NE Revolution, and the Portland Timbers will host the Colorado Rapids. Sporting KC will host the LA Galaxy, and the NY Red Bulls will play the SJ Earthquakes. The Columbus Crew will play the Montréal Impact, and the Chicago Fire will host the Philadelphia Union. FC Dallas will play the NE Revolution, and the Houston Dynamo will clash with Toronto FC at BBVA Compass Stadium. Real Salt Lake will play the Vancouver Whitecaps, and the final game of the round will be between DC United and Chivas USA. That is the upcoming schedule, and now, let's take a look at my MLS Fantasy tips.

MLS Fantasy Tips

There are some good fixtures and opportunities this round to get lots and lots of good fantasy points. One player that I'm looking at is Thierry Henry. He got a whopping 21 points against the Columbus Crew, and I wouldn't bet against him getting points against the Union and the SJ Earthquakes. Another player that I would consider is Dom Dwyer. He scored twice against the Montréal Impact, and I think that he'll get at least a goal against the Columbus Crew. Plus, he has a double-game week, meaning that he'll play two games. I would also suggest getting Jermain Defoe. I know that he's pricey, but he can get lots of goals, and Toronto FC are playing the Houston Dynamo, who have conceded a lot of goals lately. Another good choice for this week would be Brad Davis. While Houston may not have been in great form, the Dynamo's captain has returned from the World Cup with a bang, making an immediate impact and scoring three times. One last tip from me is getting Erick "el Cubo" Torres. He's scored in five straight, and I wouldn't be surprised if he gets a goal or two against DC United. Take a look at the schedule, and be sure to pay attention to who's playing at home and who has a double-game week.

Last Week's Question of the Week Answer: Gonzalo Pineda

the SJ Earthquakes 1-0, and the Houston Dynamo tied 2-2 with the NY Red Bulls. FC Dallas beat the Philadelphia Union 2-1, and the Colorado Rapids tied 1-1 with the Columbus Crew. Real Salt Lake won 2-1 against the NE Revolution, and the LA Galaxy tied 2-2 with the Portland Timbers. DC United won 2-1 over Toronto FC, and the Vancouver Whitecaps beat the Seattle Sounders 1-0. Chivas USA also won 1-0, beating the Montréal Impact, and Sporting KC tied 1-1 with the Chicago Fire. Those are the most recent results.

Upcoming Schedule

The first game of the round will be between the SJ Earthquakes and DC United. Then, the NY Red Bulls will play the Columbus Crew, and the Philadelphia Union will clash with the Colorado Rapids. Toronto FC will host the Houston Dynamo, and the Montréal Impact will play Sporting KC. The NE Revolution will host the Chicago Fire, and the Vancouver Whitecaps will play Chivas USA. The LA Galaxy will play Real Salt Lake, and the final game of the round will be a good one, when the Seattle Sounders host the Portland Timbers. That is the upcoming schedule.

MLS Fantasy Tips

Now, let's get to the MLS Fantasy tips this week that I have to share with everybody. One player that I think you should try to get on your team is Dom Dwyer. He scored again in the last game against the Chicago Fire, and I wouldn't bet against him scoring against the Montréal Impact. In his last three games, he's averaged about five points per game. One more player that I'd suggest getting is Clint Dempsey. He'll be returning from the World Cup, and the last time the Sounders played Portland, Dempsey scored a hat-trick in the 4-4 draw. Especially with the home advantage, I think that he might get a goal or at least a good amount of points. One last player that I'm seriously looking at is Pedro Morales. He has been earning points like crazy lately, and I think that he could get lots of points against Chivas USA. Those are my MLS Fantasy tips for this upcoming round. Take a look at the schedule, and be sure to pay attention to the home advantages and the player absences.

Last Week's Question of the Week Answer: The record is four saved penalty kicks

This Week's Question of the Week: Vancouver Whitecaps striker Camilo joined Querétaro at the end of last season. Which current Sounders player played for this team before joining the Sounders?

Soccer Blog - Week 17

Hello, everybody, and welcome to another article of Super Soccer Ian. We had another another thrilling week of MLS action, and there were some pretty good goals to watch. Let's get things started by reviewing the most recent results.

Week 17 Results

The first game of the round was a 0-0 draw between the Montréal Impact and Vancouver Whitecaps. Then, the NY Red Bulls tied with Toronto FC 2-2. Sporting KC beat the Portland Timbers 1-0, and
the Seattle Sounders won 1-0 as well, against DC United. The Philadelphia Union beat the NE Revolution 3-1, and the Colorado Rapids defeated the Vancouver Whitecaps 2-0. Chivas USA beat Real Salt Lake 1-0, with the beautiful Erick "El Cubo" Torres goal, and the LA Galaxy won 1-0 on the road against the SJ Earthquakes. The Columbus Crew tied 0-0 with FC Dallas, and the Montréal Impact beat the Houston Dynamo 3-0. Those are the most recent results.

Upcoming Schedule

The next round will start off with Toronto FC playing the Chicago Fire. Then, Chivas USA will play the SJ Earthquakes, and Houston Dynamo will clash with the NY Red Bulls at BBVA Compass Stadium. FC Dallas will play the Philadelphia Union, and the Colorado Rapids will host the Columbus Crew. Real Salt Lake will play the NE Revolution, and the LA Galaxy will host the Portland Timbers. Toronto FC will play DC United, and the Sounders will play the Vancouver Whitecaps. Chivas USA will host the Montréal Impact, and Sporting KC will play the Chicago Fire. That is the upcoming schedule, and now, let's take a look at my MLS Fantasy tips for this upcoming round.

MLS Fantasy Tips

There are some good opportunities for you to get points this round, and one of my top picks is Jermain Defoe. He will play at home against the Chicago Fire, and he will also play against DC United. I think that he will get a goal or two in this round. Another player that I'm looking at is Erick Torres. He had a beautiful goal against Real Salt Lake last week, and I wouldn't bet against him scoring more. I would also suggest getting Obafemi Martins. After serving his one game suspension, I think that he'll play a key attacking part in Seattle's offense, and I think that he might get a goal against the Vancouver Whitecaps. Take a look at the schedule, and also keep an eye on who's playing at home.
