Soccer Blog - Week 17

Hello, everyone, and welcome back to the newest article of Super Soccer Ian. We once again had a very exciting week of soccer, with lots of goals and big wins and losses. Let's get things started by reviewing the most recent MLS matches.

The first match of the last round was a 2-0 win for the Houston Dynamo over the SJ Earthquakes. Then, the NY Red Bulls knocked off the NE Revolution 4-1, and the Philadelphia Union beat the Portland Timbers 3-0. FC Dallas beat Orlando City SC 2-0, and the Montréal Impact shut out the Columbus Crew 3-0. The Chicago Fire got a late 1-0 win over the Seattle Sounders, and the Colorado

Rapids won 3-1 against Real Salt Lake. New York City FC and Toronto FC tied 4-4 in a super exciting game, and Sporting KC pulled off a 1-0 win against the Vancouver Whitecaps. Those are the most recent fixtures, and now, let's take a look at the upcoming schedule.

The first game of the next round will be between the Chicago Fire and the Columbus Crew. Then, the LA Galaxy will host the SJ Earthquakes in the California Clasico, and Toronto FC will play the Philadelphia Union. The NE Revolution will play host the NY City FC, and Orlando City SC will play the NY Red Bulls. The Montréal Impact will play Sporting KC on the road, and FC Dallas will host DC United. Real Salt Lake and the Houston Dynamo will clash at Rio Tinto Stadium, and the Seattle Sounders will play the Colorado Rapids. Then, the Portland Timbers will play the Vancouver Whitecaps, and the Columbus Crew will face the Chicago Fire. Those are the upcoming matches, and now, let's look at my MLS Fantasy tips for this upcoming round.

In my opinion, there are definitely some excellent opportunities to get lots and lots of points this round. One player that should be under anyone's radar right now is Sebastian Giovinco. He scored a stunning 20 points against NYCFC, and I think that he'll definitely be able to do it again at home against the Philadelphia Union. Another player to look at right now is Kevin Ellis. He's scored an average of eight points per game in his last three, and only 4.7% of MLS Fantasy players have him on their squads. To me, that's ridiculous. He'd be a great player to pick up for little money, and Sporting KC's upcoming schedule looks favorable. One more player to look at is Mauro Díaz for FC Dallas. He's earned an average of about ten points per game, and FC Dallas have two home games coming up, so I wouldn't bet against him doing more of the same. Those are my MLS Fantasy tips for this upcoming round.
