Recent MLS News

Hello, everybody and welcome to another post of Super Soccer Ian. This time, I'll be noting some recent MLS transfers that have been made. There have been lots of transfers from Europe and overseas. So, let's get started with the news.

Some really big news that recently happened was the signing of Swedish international Stefan Ishizaki to the LA Galaxy. I think that he'll contribute greatly to the midfield of the Galaxy. Also, LA have traded quite a few of their midfield players, which means that Ishizaki could help cover their midfield and help the team. Plus, LA signed Canadian international Rob Friend, who'll also help their attacking. That's the biggest transfer activity with the LA Galaxy.

Also, the Columbus Crew were the center of attention on January 13. On that day, they signed USMNT member Michael Parkhurst. He was the first MLS rookie ever to make the all-star team. Now, he'll be returning to the MLS to play for the Columbus Crew. I think that the Crew will do very well having an international player on their team that can help out with their midfield.

Lastly, there was some big news in Seattle. On January 31, the Sounders signed Marco Pappa via allocation. He'll be another international player on the Seattle squad, and I think that he could play extremely well in Clint Dempsey's position, if Deuce is on international duty. He's an excellent attacking midfielder that would be excellent in Seattle's diamond formation. I think that he'll help the Sounders a lot with set pieces and playmaking.

That's all for today, folks! There's been a lot of exciting MLS transfers and news, and we'll have plenty more coming up. Stay tuned for more offseason MLS news and transfers. Thanks for reading, and have a great day!
