MLS Playoffs and Awards

Hello, everybody, and welcome to the latest article of Super Soccer Ian. We're nearing the end of the playoffs, and the only game left is the biggest one of the year: The MLS Cup final matchup between the NE Revolution and LA Galaxy. This could be huge if either team wins it. If the LA Galaxy win it, then they'll break the record of Cups won with five MLS Cups won since 1996. If the NE Revolution win, then this MLS Cup will be their first ever. The game will take place on Sunday, December 7, at 12:00 PM Pacific Time.

Robbie Keane was voted as the 2014 MLS MVP. At first, I thought that Martins probably deserved it more. Martins finished his season off with 17 goals and 13 assists in 31 games, which is a very good
record. Once I took a look at Keane's stats, though, I changed my mind. He had 19 goals and 14 assists in 29 games. I thought that the MVP Award rightfully went to Keane, yet I thought that Martins was probably the runner-up. I personally thought that Landon Donovan should've also been in the MVP race, since he finished the season with 10 goals and 19 assists in 31 games.

I think that Keane may have one the award simply because the LA Galaxy advanced, while the Sounders didn't. I was at the final game at CenturyLink Field. The Sounders won 2-1, yet Juninho got an away goal that made them advance. It was a very frustrating game from a Sounders standpoint. The Sounders did successfully win the Supporter's Shield, along with another US Open Cup. Chad Marshall also won the Defender of the Year award. In my opinion, this may've been the best season ever that the Sounders have had in MLS.

Those are my thoughts about the playoffs and the MLS Cup playoffs so far! December 7 will be a big day for all MLS fans, and I'm looking forward to this game mainly because some record will be broken. Either the LA Galaxy win the most MLS Cups in history, or the NE Revolution win their first MLS Cup ever. There will inevitably be a winner!

Question of the Week:

Who do YOU think will be the 2014 MLS Cup Champions?

A-NE Revolution

B-LA Galaxy

Sounders Alliance Meeting

Hello, everybody, and welcome to another article of Super Soccer Ian. The playoffs have gotten exciting, and the MLS Cup could really go to anyone at this point. Very close. This blogpost is about
myself going to the Annual Alliance Business Meeting for the Sounders.

The meeting took place at the Paramount Theater in Seattle, and it was a big presentation by the Sounders owners, staff, and supporters on the 2014 season, their plans for the 2015 season, and their thanks to all of the Rave Green supporters. Some of these owners included Joe Roth, Drew Carey, and Adrian Hanauer. It was an exciting presentation, and it was exciting to hear about the plans and thoughts from a club owner's perspective.

There were also some players there at the event. I was able to get a picture with Sounders FC players
Micheal Azira, Stefan Frei, Andy Rose, and Leo Gonzalez. They also let people get pictures with the Supporter's Shield itself, along with the four US Open Cups won by the Sounders. It was a very exciting event, and I'd certainly recommend it to any Sounders fan.

On Twitter®, I'll be posting the other pictures of the event, where you can view them easily. It was an exciting meeting, and any Sounders fan can hope that they get a third trophy this season in the race to the MLS Cup.

Toronto FC tied 1-1 with the Montréal Impact, and FC Dallas beat the Colorado Rapids 1-0. DC United won 2-1 against the Chicago Fire, and the Philadelphia Union won 2-1 against Sporting KC. MLS Fantasy Tips

There are some good opportunities and games that you could earn lots of Fantasy points in. One player that I would recommend getting on your team is Ethan Finlay. He's been in excellent form lately, and he's only worth $6.2 million. I think that his final matchup against the Philadelphia Union is a good opportunity to finish the season strong, and he's a reliable player. Another player to look at would be Obafemi Martins. He got two assists against the LA Galaxy, and he will be playing at home against the LA Galaxy. Plus, the Galaxy will be without Omar Gonzalez, and I think that the Seattle Sounders will get a goal or two. One more player that I would definitely recommend adding to your squad and possibly giving the captain's armband would be Pedro Morales. He's been in good form, while the Colorado Rapids have not. The Rapids are winless in their last thirteen games, and I think that he might get goals and/or assists in that game.

Soccer Blog - Week 31

Hello, everybody, and welcome to the latest blogpost of Super Soccer Ian. We had a great week of soccer full of great goals and games. Let's get things started by reviewing the most recent results.

Round 30 Results

The first game of the round was a 1-1 draw between the Philadelphia Union and Chicago Fire. Then, DC United tied 0-0 with Sporting KC. The NY Red Bulls won 1-0 over the Houston Dynamo, and the Vancouver Whitecaps got a 2-0 win over FC Dallas. The NE Revolution won 2-1 against the Columbus Crew, and the LA Galaxy won 3-0 over Toronto FC. The Portland Timbers won 2-1 on the

road against the SJ Earthquakes, and the Seattle Sounders won 4-1 against the Colorado Rapids on the road. The Chicago Fire tied 0-0 with the Montréal Impact, and Chivas USA got a shocking 1-0 win over Real Salt Lake. Now, let's take a look at the upcoming schedule.

Upcoming Schedule

Things will start off with a matchup between Toronto FC and the Houston Dynamo. Then, the Portland Timbers will play the SJ Earthquakes again, and Sporting KC will face the Chicago Fire. The Seattle Sounders will host the Vancouver Whitecaps, and the Montréal Impact will play the NE Revolution. The NY Red Bulls will play Toronto FC, and the Philadelphia Union will host the Columbus Crew. Real Salt Lake will play the SJ Earthquakes, and Chivas USA will play the Colorado Rapids. The Houston Dynamo will play DC United, and FC Dallas will play the LA Galaxy.

MLS Fantasy Tips

There are some good opportunities to get lots of points, but be sure to look at which players will be questionable and/or unavailable due to international duty. One player that should be on your radar is Obafemi Martins. He's earned an average of about eleven points per game in his last three, and if you get him, he should definitely be wearing the captain's armband. Another player to look at is Bobby Boswell on DC United. He's been consistent lately, recently getting a clean sheet against Sporting KC. I think that DC will have a tougher matchup on the road against Houston, but their defense has been consistent, and I think that he might get some points on their back line. One more player that you should consider is Ethan Finlay on the Columbus Crew. The Crew will be playing against the Philadelphia Union, who have not been in the greatest form lately. Finlay has been in good form, and I think he might get a goal or an assist against the Union.

Vancouver Whitecaps got a 2-1 win over Real Salt Lake. The Columbus Crew beat the Montréal Impact 2-0, and the Colorado Rapids tied 1-1 with the SJ Earthquakes. The Houston Dynamo beat the Chicago Fire 2-0, and the LA Galaxy won 4-0 at home against the NY Red Bulls.

Upcoming Schedule

The first game of the next round will be between the Philadelphia Union and the NE Revolution. Then, DC United will play Sporting KC, and the NY Red Bulls will play the Houston Dynamo. The Vancouver Whitecaps will play FC Dallas, and the NE Revolution will host the Columbus Crew. The LA Galaxy will play Toronto FC, and the Portland Timbers will travel to play the SJ Earthquakes. The Colorado Rapids will host the Seattle Sounders, and the Chicago Fire will play the Montréal Impact. Chivas USA will then play Real Salt Lake.

MLS Fantasy Tips

There are some good opportunities and games to get lots of points. One player that I think would be a good choice is Obafemi Martins. He got seventeen points against Chivas USA, and the Colorado Rapids are winless in ten games. I think that he'll get lots of points against them. Another player to look at would be Landon Donovan. He got 21 points against the NY Red Bulls, and he just needs one more assist to break the all-time assists record! I think that he'll get goals and/or assists at home against Toronto FC. One more player to look at is Fanendo Adi on the Portland Timbers. He's been in good form lately. It's crazy that he's worth only $6.1 million, and only 2.4% of managers own him. He'd be a good player to get for little money. Those are my MLS Fantasy tips for this upcoming round.

Soccer Blog - Week 30

Hello, everybody, and welcome to another article of Super Soccer Ian. We had another thrilling week of soccer, and we have another exciting one coming up! Playoffs are nearing, and there's lots to get to, so let's get started by reviewing the most recent results.

Round 29 Results

The first game of the round was a 5-1 win for Real Salt Lake over the Colorado Rapids. Then, the Portland Timbers won 3-0 against the Vancouver Whitecaps, and the Philadelphia Union tied 0-0 with the Houston Dynamo. The Columbus Crew won 1-0 against the NE Revolution, and the Montréal Impact got a 2-0 win against the SJ Earthquakes. The Seattle Sounders lost 4-1, and BWP
got his third hat-trick, and the Chicago Fire tied 3-3 with DC United. The LA Galaxy won 2-1 against FC Dallas, and Toronto FC beat Chivas USA 3-0. Now, let's take a look at the upcoming schedule.

Upcoming Schedule

The first game of the next round will be between the Seattle Sounders and FC Dallas. Then, Sporting KC will play the NE Revolution, and Toronto FC will play against the Portland Timbers. DC United will host the Philadelphia Union, and the Seattle Sounders will then host Chivas USA. The Vancouver Whitecaps will play Real Salt Lake, and the Columbus Crew will play host to the Montréal Impact. The Colorado Rapids will then play SJ Earthquakes, and the Houston Dynamo will then play the Chicago Fire. The LA Galaxy will then host the NY Red Bulls. That is the upcoming schedule, and now, let's take a look at the MLS Fantasy.

MLS Fantasy Tips

There are a few good opportunities to get points, and there are also some important and good fixtures coming up. One player that I think would be a good choice this round is Clint Dempsey. He's pricey at $10.5, but he's gotten good points lately, and I think because he has a double-game week, I think he might get extra points. Another player that may be sort of a risky yet effective choice would be Fanendo Adi. He's only $6.1 million, and he got two goals against Vancouver. I think that he would be a good choice for the little money. Another good choice on the same team would be Diego Valeri. He's gotten an average of about thirteen points per game in his last three, and I think that he would be a good player to captain. One more player that I think would be a good choice is Robbie Keane. He got twelve points last week against FC Dallas, and I think that he might get even more at home against the NY Red Bulls. Those are my MLS Fantasy tips for this week.

Soccer Blog - Week 28

Hello, everybody, and welcome to another article of Super Soccer Ian. We had another exciting week of soccer, and there were some big and notable games in MLS. Let's get things started by reviewing the most recent results.

Round 27 Results

The first game was a 2-2 draw between the Montréal Impact and the LA Galaxy. Then, the NY Red Bulls beat DC United 1-0, and the Vancouver Whitecaps won 2-0 against the SJ Earthquakes. Sporting KC beat Chivas USA on the road 4-0, and the Seattle Sounders won late against 10-men Real Salt Lake 3-2. The Philadelphia Union tied with the NY Red Bulls 2-2, and the NE Revolution got a 2-1 win against the Montréal Impact. The Chicago Fire tied 1-1 with Toronto FC, and the Vancouver Whitecaps lost 2-1 to FC Dallas. The Houston Dynamo tied 2-2 with the Columbus Crew, and the Portland Timbers also tied 2-2, tying with the Colorado Rapids. The final game of the round was a 1-1 draw between the SJ Earthquakes and LA Galaxy. Now, let's take a look at the upcoming schedule.

Upcoming Schedule

In the next round, things will start off with a matchup between Real Salt lake and the Colorado Rapids. Then, the Portland Timbers will play the Vancouver Whitecaps, which will not only be an exciting game, but it will likely determine which of those teams makes the playoffs. The Philadelphia
Union will play the Houston Dynamo, and the Columbus Crew will play the NE Revolution. The Montréal Impact will host the SJ Earthquakes, and the Seattle Sounders will travel to play the NY Red Bulls. The Chicago Fire will play DC United, and the LA Galaxy will play FC Dallas, another important playoff game. The final match of the round will be between Toronto FC and Chivas USA.

MLS Fantasy Tips

There are some good opportunities to get lots of MLS Fantasy points, and I have a few tips to share with everybody. One player that I think should be on your team is Jermaine Jones. The USMNT star has gotten 15 points in his three games with the Revs, and for only $8.4 million, I think he's a steal. Another player that you should consider getting is Sebastien Le Toux. He's been in great form lately, and he's only worth $8.2 million. With twelve goals and six assists on the season, I think that more people should own him by now. One last player that I will suggest getting is Javier Morales. He got a goal against Seattle, and he's averaged nine points per game in his last three. He's pricey at $10.8 million, but he's still a good player to have on your team at home against the Colorado Rapids. Those are my MLS Fantasy tips for this upcoming round.

Soccer Blog - Week 27

Hello, everybody, and welcome to another article of Super Soccer Ian. I am happy to report that this is my 50th blog I have posted. So thanks for all of the support and follows. This was arguably one of our most exciting weeks yet in MLS this season, and there were some thrilling games. Let's get things started by reviewing the most recent results.

Round 26 Results

The first game of the round was a 1-0 win for the Philadelphia Union over Toronto FC. Then, the NE Revolution beat Sporting KC 3-1, and the Seattle Sounders got a 4-2 win over Chivas USA. The LA
Galaxy won 6-0 against the ten-men Colorado Rapids, and the Philadelphia Union won 2-0 against Toronto FC. The NY Red Bulls beat Sporting KC 2-1, and the Houston Dynamo won 3-2 against the Montréal Impact. Real Salt Lake won 2-1 against FC Dallas, and DC United drew 0-0 with the Vancouver Whitecaps. The Columbus Crew dismantled Chivas USA 3-0, and the Portland Timbers tied 3-3 with the SJ Earthquakes. The final game of the round was a 2-1 win for the NE Revolution over the Chicago Fire. Now, let's take a look at the upcoming schedule.

Upcoming Schedule

Things will start off with a matchup between the Montréal Impact and the LA Galaxy. Then, the NY Red Bulls will play DC United, and the Vancouver Whitecaps will play the SJ Earthquakes. Chivas USA will play Sporting KC, and the Seattle Sounders will host Real Salt Lake. The NY Red Bulls will travel to play the Philadelphia Union, and the NE Revolution will play the Montréal Impact. The Chicago Fire will host Toronto FC, and FC Dallas will play the Vancouver Whitecaps. The Houston Dynamo will host the Columbus Crew, and The Portland Timbers will travel to play the Colorado Rapids. The final game of the round will be between the LA Galaxy and the SJ Earthquakes. Now, let's take a look at my MLS Fantasy tips for this upcoming round.

MLS Fantasy Tips

We have another busy round coming up, and this will be a double-game week for lots of MLS teams. One player that I think would be a good choice would be Obafemi Martins. He got two goals against Chivas USA, and I think that he might get some good Fantasy points at home against Real Salt Lake. Another player that should definitely be on everybody's team by now is Landon Donovan. In his last three, he's averaged 17 points per game! If you don't have him on your team as your captain, then you're probably making a mistake. He's arguably the hottest and in-form player in MLS right now. Staying with the LA Galaxy, Gyasi Zardes would also be a good player to have on your team. In his last two games, he's gotten 28 points. He'd be a great player to get for $8.1 million. One last player that might be a good choice is Alvas Powell on the Portland Timbers. While he's only gotten 33 points this whole season, 25 of them have been in his last two games. He's scored two in two, and I think he might get assists, too because he gets forward so much. Those are my MLS Fantasy tips for this upcoming round.

Soccer Blog - Week 26

Hello, everybody, and welcome to another article of Super Soccer Ian. We had a great week of soccer, with lots of goals and great games. Let's take a look at the most recent results.

Round 25 Results

Things started off with a 4-1 win for the LA Galaxy over DC United, and 3-1 win for the Houston Dynamo over Sporting KC. Then, the Seattle Sounders got a 1-0 win over the Colorado Rapids, and
the NE Revolution won 3-0 over Toronto FC. The Montréal Impact got a 2-0 win over the Columbus Crew, and FC Dallas lost 1-0 to the Chicago Fire. The SJ Earthquakes tied 1-1 with Real Salt Lake, and the Portland Timbers beat the Vancouver Whitecaps 3-0. DC United won 2-0 over the NY Red Bulls, and the LA Galaxy got a 3-0 win against Chivas USA. Now, let's take a look at the upcoming schedule.

Upcoming Schedule

The first game of the next round will be between the Philadelphia Union and Toronto FC. The NE Revolution will then play Sporting KC, and the Seattle Sounders will travel to play Chivas USA. The LA Galaxy will play the Colorado Rapids, and Toronto FC will host the Philadelphia Union. The NY Red Bulls will play Sporting KC, and the Houston Dynamo and Montréal Impact will face off. Real Salt Lake will play FC Dallas, and the Vancouver Whitecaps and DC United will clash at BC Place. The Columbus Crew will host Chivas USA, and the Portland Timbers will play the SJ Earthquakes. The final game of the round will be between the Chicago Fire and NE Revolution. Now, let's take a look at the upcoming schedule.

MLS Fantasy Tips

There are some good opportunities to get lots of Fantasy points this round. One player that I'm thinking would be a good choice would be either Chad Marshall or Stefan Frei. The Sounders got a clean sheet against the Colorado Rapids, and Chivas USA will be without Erick "el Cubo" Torres, meaning that they may not score goals easily. I'd expect a shutout from the Sounders in that game. Another player to consider would be Landon Donovan. He's pricey at $11.6 million, but he's very reliable with getting points, and he's earned 29 points in his last two games! I think that he'd be a great choice at home against the Colorado Rapids. One more player that I recommend getting is Brad Davis. He had two assists against Sporting KC, and the Montréal Impact defense has not been good. I think that the Dynamo might get a goal or two in that game, and Brad Davis will likely make something happen. Those are my MLS Fantasy tips for this upcoming round.

The final game of the round was a 4-2 win for the Philadelphia Union over the SJ Earthquakes. Those are the most recent results, and now, let's take a look at the upcoming schedule.

Upcoming Schedule

The first game of the round will be a matchup between the LA Galaxy and DC United. Sporting KC will host the Houston Dynamo, and the Colorado Rapids will travel to play the Seattle Sounders. Toronto FC will face off against the NE Revolution, and the Montréal Impact will play the Columbus Crew. The Chicago Fire will host FC Dallas, and the SJ Earthquakes will play Real Salt Lake. The Vancouver Whitecaps and Portland Timbers will face off at BC Place, and DC United will play the NY Red Bulls. The final game of the round will be between Chivas USA and the LA Galaxy. That is the upcoming schedule, and now, let's take a look at my MLS Fantasy tips for this upcoming round.

MLS Fantasy Tips

In the upcoming round, there are some good chances and opportunities to get lots of MLS Fantasy points. One player that would be a good addition to your team would be Obafemi Martins. He got 19 points against the Portland Timbers, and the Sounders will be playing against the Colorado Rapids, who have lost five straight games. I think that he might get a goal or two in that game. Another player that you should consider is Landon Donovan. He's earned an average of nine points per game in his last three, and he has a double-game week, meaning that he could get even more points. One more player that you should also consider getting on your team if you haven't is Bradley Wright-Phillips. He's scored twenty goals now this season, and he has ten games left. I wouldn't be surprised if he breaks the twenty-seven goal record held by Chris Wondolowski and Roy Lassiter. I think that he'll be getting more goals this season, meaning that he'll get you great points. Those are my MLS Fantasy tips for this round.

Soccer Blog - Week 24

Hello, everybody, and welcome to another article of Super Soccer Ian. We had another exciting week with lots of incredible goals and high-scoring games. Let's get things started by reviewing the most recent results.

Round 23 Results

Things started off with a 2-0 win for the Houston Dynamo over the Philadelphia Union.  Then, Real Salt Lake got a 2-1 win over the Seattle Sounders, and the Montréal Impact beat the Chicago Fire 1-
0. The Columbus Crew got a 4-1 win over the LA Galaxy, and the Portland Timbers tied 1-1 with the NE Revolution. Toronto FC lost 4-1 to Sporting KC, and Chivas USA tied 0-0 with the Vancouver Whitecaps. FC Dallas won 5-0 on the road against the SJ Earthquakes, and DC United beat the Colorado Rapids 4-2. Those are the most recent results, and now, let's take a look at the upcoming schedule.

Upcoming Schedule

The first game of the round will be a matchup between the LA Galaxy and the Colorado Rapids. Then, the Seattle Sounders will face the SJ Earthquakes at home, and FC Dallas will play against Real Salt Lake. The NY Red Bulls will play host to the Montréal Impact, and Toronto FC will play the Chicago Fire. The Columbus Crew will play against the Houston Dynamo, and the NE Revolution will host Chivas USA. DC United will travel to play Sporting KC, and the LA Galaxy will host the Vancouver Whitecaps. The Cascadia Rivalry will take place at Providence Park as the Seattle Sounders play the Portland Timbers, and the final game of the round will be between the Philadelphia Union and SJ Earthquakes. That is the upcoming schedule, and now, let's take a look at my MLS Fantasy tips for this upcoming round.

MLS Fantasy Tips

Some teams have a double-game week, so you can definitely get lots of good MLS Fantasy points. I will definitely say that anybody on the LA Galaxy would be a good choice. Even though they got beaten by the Columbus Crew, they have a double-game week with some good fixtures. Robbie Keane, Landon Donovan, and Gyasi Zardes would all be good choices. Another player that might be good to pick up is Clint Dempsey. He hasn't been in top form lately, but he has a double-game week, and he's scored four goals in two games against the Portland Timbers. I think that he'd be a great choice for your fantasy team. One more player that you should get on your team is Bradley Wright-Phillips. He'll be playing at home against a weak Montréal Impact, and I wouldn't bet against him scoring a goal or two in that game.

Tyee Cup Tournament

Hello, everybody, and welcome to another article of Super Soccer Ian. I will be posting a special blogpost about my recent Tyee Cup Tournament with my soccer team, TC United.

We played a total of four games, and we tied our first game 1-1 against a BU13 team. We are BU14,
Scoring a brace in the 9-0 victory!
so we probably should've done better. They got their first goal by dribbling through the heart of the defense, and there was no good defensive pressure, so they got the first goal of the game, but also got a little lucky. We were fortunately able to respond in the second half, scoring an equalizing goal. We really pushed at the end, but we didn't snatch the game winner.

Our second game was against another BU13 team, and we definitely came out ready. The final score of the game was 9-0, getting seven goals in the second half. I got a few chances at goal, and I ended up with a brace! This game got us going, and we felt really confident in ourselves for the next game.

Our third game was against the younger BU12. At first we thought that we might have this one covered, since we're two years older than them, but they came into the game very
Winnning the Tyee Cup Tournament!
strong, and we got away with a 3-2 victory. They played a heck of a game out there, and I felt fortunate that we didn't tie or lose.

That third game victory got us into the championship game! We played the first team that we played in the tournament, except for the fact that it was in the championship round. We came into this game with great team mentality, and we got the go-ahead goal. They were able to answer later with a goal, however, and the score was tied 1-1. There were some chances, and we looked to be the superior team, and the turning point of the game was when my team won a penalty kick. One of my teammates took the PK, and the goalkeeper almost saved it, making contact with the ball with his hand. It still found its way into the goal. I hit the crossbar from a long distance shot, and there were several opportunities at both ends of the field. The final whistle blew, and we won the Tyee Cup Tournament! It was our first ever championship, and everybody was thrilled. So far, the second game of this tournament is my best TC United game I've had!

Round 22 Results

The first game of the round was a 2-2 draw between the SJ Earthquakes and LA Galaxy. Then, the Philadelphia Union beat the Montréal Impact 2-1, and Toronto FC defeated the Columbus Crew 3-2.

FC Dallas won 3-1 over the Colorado Rapids, and Real Salt Lake beat DC United 3-0. The Portland Timbers got a 2-0 win over Chivas USA, and the Chicago Fire won 1-0 over the NY Red Bulls. Sporting KC lost 2-0 to the Vancouver Whitecaps, and the Seattle Sounders got a 2-0 win over the Houston Dynamo. Those are the most recent results, and now, let's take a look at the upcoming schedule.

Upcoming Schedule

The first game of the next round will be the Houston Dynamo playing the Philadelphia Union. Then, Real Salt Lake will host the Seattle Sounders, and Montréal Impact will face off against the Chicago Fire. The Columbus Crew will play against the LA Galaxy, and the Portland Timbers will travel to play the NE Revolution. Sporting KC will play against Toronto FC, and Chivas USA will host the Vancouver Whitecaps. FC Dallas will travel to play the SJ Earthquakes, and the final game of the round will be between DC United and the Colorado Rapids. Those are the upcoming fixtures, and now, let's take a look at my MLS Fantasy tips for this upcoming round.

MLS Fantasy Tips

There are some good fixtures and opportunities this round for you to really rack up the fantasy points. One player that I think would be a good choice for this round would be Gyasi Zardes. He's scored eight goals in eight games, and I wouldn't be surprised at all if he gets a goal or two against the Columbus Crew. Another player that I'd suggest getting on your squad is Robbie Keane. He's had another great season, and the Galaxy have been on fire lately, so I wouldn't bet against him getting lots of points against Columbus. I also think that Diego Valeri might be the man to captain this round. He's scored four goals in his last four games, and the NE Revolution have not been playing very well lately. I think that he'll get a good amount of points in that game. Those are my MLS Fantasy tips for this upcoming round. Be sure to take a look at the fixtures, and make your decisions based on the stats, standings, and who's playing at home.

Last Week's Question of the Week Answer: Robbie Keane is the eleventh all-time leading goalscorer of the English Premier League

The first game of the round was a 3-0 win for DC United over Toronto FC. Then, the NE Revolution
won 3-0 over the Colorado Rapids, and the Chicago Fire drew 0-0 with the Vancouver Whitecaps. Real Salt Lake tied 1-1 with the NY Red Bulls, and Sporting KC tied 1-1 with the Philadelphia Union. The LA Galaxy beat the Portland Timbers 3-1, and Toronto FC defeated the Montréal Impact 2-0. The NY Red Bulls then beat the NE Revolution 2-1, and the Chicago Fire tied 1-1 with the Columbus Crew. Real Salt Lake beat the Colorado Rapids 1-0, and the Seattle Sounders lost 1-0 to the SJ Earthquakes. The Houston Dynamo won 1-0 over DC United, and FC Dallas got a 1-0 win on the road against Chivas USA. Those are the most recent results, and now, let's take a look at the upcoming schedule.

Upcoming Schedule

The first match of the round will be the California Clasíco. The SJ Earthquakes will face off against the LA Galaxy. Then, the Philadelphia Union will play the Montréal Impact, and the Columbus Crew will host Toronto FC. FC Dallas will play the Colorado Rapids, and Real Salt Lake will host DC United. The Portland Timbers will host Chivas USA at home, and the NY Red Bulls will play the Chicago Fire. Sporting KC will play the Vancouver Whitecaps, and the Sounders will then play the Houston Dynamo. Now, let's take a look at my MLS Fantasy tips for this upcoming round.

MLS Fantasy Tips

There are some good opportunities this round to get lots of good MLS Fantasy points, and I have lots of tips to give to everybody. One player that I got on my team is Robbie Keane. He has been in excellent form lately, averaging about eight points per game in his last three. He would be a good player to captain for this round. Another player that you should consider getting is Bradley Wright-Phillips. He's the current Golden Boot leader, and I wouldn't bet against him scoring against Chicago. If you want to get an inexpensive player that's good to have, then I'd get Tesho Akindele on FC Dallas. He scored the winning goal against Chivas USA, and he's a great deal. He's only $4.8 million, has 54 points, and it's crazy that only 7.9% of managers own him. He will be playing at home against the Colorado Rapids. One more player that I just have to recommend is Gyasi Zardes. He's been in top form lately, scoring against the Sounders and Portland, and he's relatively inexpensive at $7.1 million. Those are my MLS Fantasy tips for this round. Be sure to take a look at the fixtures and upcoming schedule, and make smart choices based on that.

Last Week's Question of the Week Answer: New England Revolution

Exciting Things This Summer

Hello, everybody, and welcome to another article of Super Soccer Ian. This time, I'm posting a special blog about my soccer life this summer. I did the Sounders FC Youth Camp, ran into Eddie Johnson at the Sounders vs Portland game, and competed in the Dungeness Cup tournament.

Sounders FC Youth Camp

I did the Sounders Camp in early July, and it was probably the coolest soccer camp that I've ever done. It lasted for about five days, and on the fourth day, everybody got to meet Sounders striker Kévin Parsemain. I got the camp shirt signed, and I learned more about him on Wikipedia. Apparently, Parsemain is the all-time leading goalscorer for Martinique's national team, tallying 23 goals in 32 appearances. It was really cool to get his autograph. I would recommend the Sounders Camp for any young Sounders fan that loves soccer.

Meeting Eddie Johnson

I went to the second meeting of the 2014 season between the Seattle Sounders and Portland Timbers at CenturyLink Field. Going to Sounders games is one of my favorite things to do, and it was even better when we ran into a former Sounder. We were just walking around by the club, and then, Eddie Johnson was standing nearby, not wearing Sounders gear, but still rooting on his former team. We got a picture with him, and he's definitely still a fan favorite for lots of Sounders fans because of his success on the pitch, and how he's nice and friendly to the fans off the field. It was really cool to see him at CenturyLink Field.

Dungeness Cup

In the spring, I joined TC United, which is a select soccer team. We recently played in the Dungeness Cup, which marks our second tournament together. The tournament took place in Sequim, Washington, and it was a tough tournament. We won our first game 3-1, and I got the final goal to
seal the win. It marked my first goal for TC United. Our second game was rough, losing 3-0, and then, we played a U15 team, losing by the same score again. While we may not have done excellently, it was still really fun to travel far and play really good teams. I also felt happy that I got that goal that sealed our 3-1 win. Another tournament is just around the corner, and we'll be playing in Gig Harbor.

Soccer Blog - Week 21

Hello, everybody, and welcome to another article of Super Soccer Ian. It was another exciting week in MLS, with lots of goals and lots of exciting games. Let's get things started by reviewing the most recent results.

Round 20 Results

The first game of the round was a 5-1 win for the SJ Earthquakes over the Chicago Fire. Then, Real

Salt Lake beat the 10-men Montréal Impact 3-1. The Colorado Rapids won 3-0 over Chivas USA, and Sporting KC got a 2-1 win on the road against Toronto FC. The NE Revolution lost 2-1 to the Columbus Crew, and FC Dallas tied 2-2 with the Vancouver Whitecaps. The Portland Timbers beat the Montréal Impact 3-2, and the Seattle Sounders lost 3-0 to the LA Galaxy. Those are the most recent results, and now, let's look at the upcoming schedule.

Upcoming Schedule

The first game of the round will be between DC United and Toronto FC. Then, the NE Revolution will host the Colorado Rapids. The Vancouver Whitecaps will play the Chicago Fire, and Real Salt Lake will play the NY Red Bulls. Sporting KC will host the Philadelphia Union, and the LA Galaxy will play the Portland Timbers. The Montréal Impact will host Toronto FC, and the NY Red Bulls will play the NE Revolution. The Chicago Fire will play the Columbus Crew, and the Colorado Rapids and Real Salt Lake will face off in the Rocky Mountain Cup. The SJ Earthquakes will host the Seattle Sounders, and the Houston Dynamo will play DC United. The final game of the round will be between Chivas USA and FC Dallas. Those are the upcoming matches, and now, let's take a look at my MLS Fantasy tips for this upcoming round.

MLS Fantasy Tips

This is going to be a very busy round, and no team will have a bye. A player that I've been looking at is Gyasi Zardes on the LA Galaxy. He has been in great form lately, and in his last three games, he's averaged about eight points per game. He does not have the double-game week, but I think that he'll get good points against Portland at home. Another player to look at would be Jermain Defoe. He has a double-game week. He's currently a shoe-in for the MLS Newcomer of the Year Award, and I wouldn't bet against him getting lots of points in his matches this round. One more player that I would recommend adding to your team is Bradley Wright-Phillips. Nobody has more goals then him, and he has a double-game week, meaning that he could get you even more points. Those are my picks for this round. Take a look at the schedule, and use the great opportunities to your advantage.

Last Week's Question of the Week Answer: Bradley Orr

Soccer Blog - Week 20

Hello, everybody, and welcome to another article of Super Soccer Ian. It was a long round, but an exciting one, as there were lots of goals scored. Let's get things started by reviewing the most recent results.

Round 19 Results

Things started off with a 3-1 win for the Philadelphia Union over the NY Red Bulls. Then, Sporting KC beat the Columbus Crew 2-1, and Toronto FC tied 1-1 with the Vancouver Whitecaps. The LA Galaxy won 5-1 over the NE Revolution, and the Colorado Rapids lost 2-1 to the Portland Timbers. Sporting KC beat the LA Galaxy 2-1, and the NY Red Bulls tied 1-1 with the SJ Earthquakes. The Columbus Crew beat the Montréal Impact 2-1, and the Chicago Fire tied 1-1 with the Philadelphia
Union. FC Dallas beat the NE Revolution 2-0, and the Houston Dynamo tied 2-2 with Toronto FC. Real Salt Lake tied 1-1 with the Vancouver Whitecaps, and DC United beat Chivas USA 3-1. Those are the most recent results. Now, let's take a look at the upcoming schedule.

Upcoming Schedule

The first game of the next round will be between the SJ Earthquakes and the Chicago Fire. Real Salt Lake will then host the Montréal Impact, and Chivas USA will travel to play the Colorado Rapids. Toronto FC will play Sporting KC, and the NE Revolution will play the Columbus Crew. FC Dallas will travel to play the Vancouver Whitecaps, and the Montréal Impact will host the Portland Timbers. The final game of the round will be between the LA Galaxy and Seattle Sounders. That is the upcoming schedule, and now, let's take a look at my MLS Fantasy tips for this upcoming round.

MLS Fantasy Tips

This round will be a shorter one, but there are always point opportunities out there in MLS Fantasy. One player that I think you should try to get on your team is Andrés Escobar on FC Dallas. Normally, he's a reserve player, but he's averaged about six points per game in his last three, and I think that he might get the start against Vancouver. Another smart addition to your squad would be Jeff Larentowicz on Chicago. While the Fire are on the road, the SJ Earthquakes haven't been playing well this year, and he's a guaranteed starter for the Fire. I think that he'll get some points, especially considering that he scored in the last game against the Philadelphia Union. One more player that you could consider is Robbie Keane. Even though the Sounders have been very good lately, I think that he may still get a goal against the Sounders, just because he's done so quite often in the past. Those are my MLS Fantasy tips for this upcoming round.

Soccer Blog - Week 19

Hello, everybody, and welcome to another article of Super Soccer Ian. We had another exciting week of soccer, and there were some pretty thrilling games that we saw. Let's get things started by reviewing the most recent results.

Round 18 Results

Things started off with a 2-1 win for DC United over the SJ Earthquakes. Then, the NY Red Bulls
won 4-1 over the Columbus Crew, and the Philadelphia Union tied with the Colorado Rapids 3-3. Toronto FC beat the Houston Dynamo 4-2, and Sporting KC won 2-1 over the Montréal Impact. The Chicago Fire won 1-0 over the NE Revolution, including a penalty save from Sean Johnson, and Chivas USA got their fourth straight win, beating the Vancouver Whitecaps 3-1. The LA Galaxy won 1-0 over Real Salt Lake, and the Sounders beat the Portland Timbers 2-0. Those are the most recent results, and now, let's take a look at the upcoming schedule.

Upcoming Schedule

The first game of the round will be between the Philadelphia Union hosting the NY Red Bulls. Then, Sporting KC will face the Columbus Crew on the road, and Toronto FC will play the Vancouver Whitecaps. The LA Galaxy will play the NE Revolution, and the Portland Timbers will host the Colorado Rapids. Sporting KC will host the LA Galaxy, and the NY Red Bulls will play the SJ Earthquakes. The Columbus Crew will play the Montréal Impact, and the Chicago Fire will host the Philadelphia Union. FC Dallas will play the NE Revolution, and the Houston Dynamo will clash with Toronto FC at BBVA Compass Stadium. Real Salt Lake will play the Vancouver Whitecaps, and the final game of the round will be between DC United and Chivas USA. That is the upcoming schedule, and now, let's take a look at my MLS Fantasy tips.

MLS Fantasy Tips

There are some good fixtures and opportunities this round to get lots and lots of good fantasy points. One player that I'm looking at is Thierry Henry. He got a whopping 21 points against the Columbus Crew, and I wouldn't bet against him getting points against the Union and the SJ Earthquakes. Another player that I would consider is Dom Dwyer. He scored twice against the Montréal Impact, and I think that he'll get at least a goal against the Columbus Crew. Plus, he has a double-game week, meaning that he'll play two games. I would also suggest getting Jermain Defoe. I know that he's pricey, but he can get lots of goals, and Toronto FC are playing the Houston Dynamo, who have conceded a lot of goals lately. Another good choice for this week would be Brad Davis. While Houston may not have been in great form, the Dynamo's captain has returned from the World Cup with a bang, making an immediate impact and scoring three times. One last tip from me is getting Erick "el Cubo" Torres. He's scored in five straight, and I wouldn't be surprised if he gets a goal or two against DC United. Take a look at the schedule, and be sure to pay attention to who's playing at home and who has a double-game week.

Soccer Blog - Week 18

Hello, everybody, and welcome to another article of Super Soccer Ian. This week was very exciting, and there were lots of great goals scored. Let's start things off by reviewing the most recent results.

Round 17 Results

Things started off with a 1-1 draw between the Chicago Fire and Toronto FC. Then, Chivas USA beat

the SJ Earthquakes 1-0, and the Houston Dynamo tied 2-2 with the NY Red Bulls. FC Dallas beat the Philadelphia Union 2-1, and the Colorado Rapids tied 1-1 with the Columbus Crew. Real Salt Lake won 2-1 against the NE Revolution, and the LA Galaxy tied 2-2 with the Portland Timbers. DC United won 2-1 over Toronto FC, and the Vancouver Whitecaps beat the Seattle Sounders 1-0. Chivas USA also won 1-0, beating the Montréal Impact, and Sporting KC tied 1-1 with the Chicago Fire. Those are the most recent results.

Upcoming Schedule

The first game of the round will be between the SJ Earthquakes and DC United. Then, the NY Red Bulls will play the Columbus Crew, and the Philadelphia Union will clash with the Colorado Rapids. Toronto FC will host the Houston Dynamo, and the Montréal Impact will play Sporting KC. The NE Revolution will host the Chicago Fire, and the Vancouver Whitecaps will play Chivas USA. The LA Galaxy will play Real Salt Lake, and the final game of the round will be a good one, when the Seattle Sounders host the Portland Timbers. That is the upcoming schedule.

MLS Fantasy Tips

Now, let's get to the MLS Fantasy tips this week that I have to share with everybody. One player that I think you should try to get on your team is Dom Dwyer. He scored again in the last game against the Chicago Fire, and I wouldn't bet against him scoring against the Montréal Impact. In his last three games, he's averaged about five points per game. One more player that I'd suggest getting is Clint Dempsey. He'll be returning from the World Cup, and the last time the Sounders played Portland, Dempsey scored a hat-trick in the 4-4 draw. Especially with the home advantage, I think that he might get a goal or at least a good amount of points. One last player that I'm seriously looking at is Pedro Morales. He has been earning points like crazy lately, and I think that he could get lots of points against Chivas USA. Those are my MLS Fantasy tips for this upcoming round. Take a look at the schedule, and be sure to pay attention to the home advantages and the player absences.

Soccer Blog - Week 17

Hello, everybody, and welcome to another article of Super Soccer Ian. We had another another thrilling week of MLS action, and there were some pretty good goals to watch. Let's get things started by reviewing the most recent results.

Week 17 Results

The first game of the round was a 0-0 draw between the Montréal Impact and Vancouver Whitecaps. Then, the NY Red Bulls tied with Toronto FC 2-2. Sporting KC beat the Portland Timbers 1-0, and
the Seattle Sounders won 1-0 as well, against DC United. The Philadelphia Union beat the NE Revolution 3-1, and the Colorado Rapids defeated the Vancouver Whitecaps 2-0. Chivas USA beat Real Salt Lake 1-0, with the beautiful Erick "El Cubo" Torres goal, and the LA Galaxy won 1-0 on the road against the SJ Earthquakes. The Columbus Crew tied 0-0 with FC Dallas, and the Montréal Impact beat the Houston Dynamo 3-0. Those are the most recent results.

Upcoming Schedule

The next round will start off with Toronto FC playing the Chicago Fire. Then, Chivas USA will play the SJ Earthquakes, and Houston Dynamo will clash with the NY Red Bulls at BBVA Compass Stadium. FC Dallas will play the Philadelphia Union, and the Colorado Rapids will host the Columbus Crew. Real Salt Lake will play the NE Revolution, and the LA Galaxy will host the Portland Timbers. Toronto FC will play DC United, and the Sounders will play the Vancouver Whitecaps. Chivas USA will host the Montréal Impact, and Sporting KC will play the Chicago Fire. That is the upcoming schedule, and now, let's take a look at my MLS Fantasy tips for this upcoming round.

MLS Fantasy Tips

There are some good opportunities for you to get points this round, and one of my top picks is Jermain Defoe. He will play at home against the Chicago Fire, and he will also play against DC United. I think that he will get a goal or two in this round. Another player that I'm looking at is Erick Torres. He had a beautiful goal against Real Salt Lake last week, and I wouldn't bet against him scoring more. I would also suggest getting Obafemi Martins. After serving his one game suspension, I think that he'll play a key attacking part in Seattle's offense, and I think that he might get a goal against the Vancouver Whitecaps. Take a look at the schedule, and also keep an eye on who's playing at home.

Soccer Blog - Week 16

Hello, everybody, and welcome to another episode of Super Soccer Ian. We had another exciting week of soccer, and there were some thrilling matches. Let's get started by reviewing the most recent results.

Round 15 Results

There were only two matches in the last round. DC United beat the Montréal Impact on the road 4-2, and The Portland Timbers tied against FC Dallas 2-2. Those are the most recent scores. Now, let's take a look at the upcoming schedule.

Upcoming Schedule

A few of the teams have another double-game week. The first match will be between the Vancouver

Whitecaps and Montréal Impact. Then, the NY Red Bulls will play Toronto FC, and the Portland Timbers will host Sporting KC. The Seattle Sounders will travel to play DC United, and the NE Revolution will play the Philadelphia Union. The Columbus Crew will face off against FC Dallas, and the Colorado Rapids will host the Vancouver Whitecaps. Real Salt Lake will play Chivas USA, and the California Clasíco will happen, as the SJ Earthquakes host the LA Galaxy. The Montréal Impact will then host the Houston Dynamo. Those are the upcoming fixtures, and now, let's take a look at my MLS Fantasy tips.

MLS Fantasy Tips

Because this is a double-game week, this gives you chances to get lots of points. One player that I was thinking might be good for your team is Pedro Morales. He has a double-game week, and I think that he may be the man for the job. He isn't priced super high at $8.8 million, but his price will rise, so get him on your team while you can. Another player that would be good for your team is Lamar Neagle. Because Obafemi Martins will be out with a suspension, I think that he may be the goalscoring threat for the Sounders. If not him, then for sure Kenny Cooper. If you want a DC United striker, then I suggest getting Luis Silva. Fabian Espíndola is reportedly out for roughly six weeks with an MCL sprain, so I think that Silva may get the start, and he had a great performance against the Impact. Plus, he's only $7.1 million! Take a look at the upcoming schedule and see which teams have double-game weeks and who's playing at home. Those are my MLS Fantasy tips for this upcoming round.

Soccer Blog - Week 15

Hello, everybody, and welcome to another article of Super Soccer Ian. We had another very exciting week full of goals and intensity. Let's get started by reviewing the results of the last round.

Round 14 Results

Things started off with a 1-1 tie between Real Salt Lake and the Columbus Crew. The next game was another draw between the Colorado Rapids and Chicago Fire. The final score was 0-0. Sporting KC beat the Houston Dynamo 2-0, and Toronto FC won 1-0 against the SJ Earthquakes. DC United tied 0-0 with the Columbus Crew, and the Philadelphia Union drew 3-3 against the Vancouver Whitecaps.
The Seattle Sounders won 3-2 on the road to the Chicago Fire, and FC Dallas won 3-2 at home against the Colorado Rapids. The Portland Timbers won 3-1 on the road against Real Salt Lake, and the NY Red Bulls won 2-0 over the NE Revolution. The final game of the round was a thrilling 1-1 draw between the LA Galaxy and Chivas USA. Those are the most recent results. Now, let's take a look at the upcoming schedule.

Upcoming Schedule

This is going to be a short article just because there are only two games in this next round! The Montréal Impact will host DC United, and the Portland Timbers will host FC Dallas. That is the upcoming schedule, and now, let's take a look at my MLS Fantasy tips for this upcoming round.

MLS Fantasy Tips

In this short round, I think that it would be best to choose the players that are playing at home. If you were to get anybody on Montréal, then I would suggest getting Jack McInerney. He's averaged about six points per game in his last three for the Impact. The main man that I think you should try and get is Fanendo Adi. In the four games he's played for the Timbers, he's gotten at least a goal or an assist in each game, and he's averaged nine points per game. I think that he's a must-have for this round. One other player that you could consider is Andrés Escobar on FC Dallas. He scored a goal in his last game, and I think that he might get the start in Portland, or at least play for about thirty minutes. Those are my tips for this upcoming round in MLS Fantasy.

Last Week's Question of the Week Answer: Montréal Impact

Soccer Blog - Week 14

Hello, everybody, and welcome to another article of Super Soccer Ian. We had another exciting week of soccer, with a lot of exciting goals and games! Let's hope for the same this week! Let's start things off by reviewing last week's results.

Round 13 Results

The first game of the round was a 1-1 draw between Sporting KC and the NY Red Bulls. The Portland Timbers then won 2-0 on the road against Chivas USA. The Seattle Sounders won 4-0 against Real Salt Lake, and Toronto FC beat the Columbus Crew 3-2. Sporting KC fell 1-0 to DC United, and the Montréal Impact beat the NE Revolution 2-0. The SJ Earthquakes beat FC Dallas 2-1,
and the Philadelphia Union won 3-0 beat Chivas USA 3-0. The Chicago Fire and LA Galaxy tied 1-1, and the Colorado Rapids beat the Houston Dynamo 3-0. The Vancouver Whitecaps then beat the Portland Timbers 4-3, ending the Timber's home undefeated streak. Those are the most recent results, and now, let's take a look at the upcoming schedule.

Upcoming Schedule

The only team that has a bye is the Montréal Impact. Everybody else plays, and a few teams have two games to play. The first game will be a matchup between the Columbus Crew and Real Salt Lake. The Colorado Rapids will then host the Chicago Fire, and the Houston Dynamo and Sporting KC will clash at BBVA Compass Stadium. Toronto FC will host the SJ Earthquakes, and DC United will host the Columbus Crew. The Vancouver Whitecaps will travel to play the Philadelphia Union, and the Chicago Fire will host the Seattle Sounders. FC Dallas will play the Colorado Rapids, and the NE Revolution will play the NY Red Bulls. The final game of the round will be at the StubHub Center, and the LA Galaxy will host Chivas USA.

MLS Fantasy Tips

One player that I am really looking at this round is Pedro Morales on Vancouver. He pitched in two goals and two assists against the Portland Timbers, and they'll be playing against the Philadelphia Union. The Union have only won three times this year, and the Whitecaps are undefeated in their last six games. I would also suggest getting either Gonzalo Pineda or Obafemi Martins on the Sounders. They're playing on the road, but Pineda has averaged about seven points per game in his last three, and Martins has averaged about six points per game in his last three. Chicago have only won twice this season, and I think that Sounders goal scorers can get you lots of points. A couple of other players that I'd suggest putting on your team are Javier Morales and Kamani Hill. Morales is playing a double-game week against Columbus and Portland, two teams that have struggled defensively. Kamani Hill is also playing a double-game week. He's scored two goals in two games, and he, too, will be playing against two teams that have struggled defensively. Plus, for just $4.8 million, I think he's a steal. Those are my MLS Fantasy tips for this upcoming round.

Hello, everybody, and welcome to another article of Super Soccer Ian. We had another week filled with exciting goals, including Landon Donovan's 135th, which broke the all-time MLS record for goals. Let's get started by reviewing the scores of Round 12's games.

Round 12 Results

The first game of the round was a 2-0 win for DC United over the Houston Dynamo. The LA Galaxy then won 2-1 over FC Dallas, and Sporting KC drew 2-2 with Toronto FC. The Portland Timbers won

2-1 on the road against the NY Red Bulls, and The Vancouver Whitecaps tied 2-2 with the Seattle Sounders. The Columbus Crew won 2-0 over the Chicago Fire, and the NE Revolution won 2-1 over DC United. The Colorado Rapids then beat the Montréal Impact 4-1, and Real Salt Lake tied 0-0 with FC Dallas. The LA Galaxy then won 4-1 over the Philadelphia Union, and the SJ Earthquakes beat the Houston Dynamo 3-0. Those are the most recent results. Now, let's take a look at the upcoming fixtures.

Upcoming Schedule

Things will start off with a matchup between Sporting KC and the NY Red Bulls. Then, Chivas USA will host the Portland Timbers, and Real Salt Lake and the Seattle Sounders will clash at CenturyLink Field. Toronto FC will host the Columbus Crew, and DC United will host Sporting KC. The Montréal Impact will play the NE Revolution, and the SJ Earthquakes will travel to play FC Dallas. Chivas USA will host the Philadelphia Union, and the Chicago Fire will play the LA Galaxy. The Colorado Rapids will play the Houston Dynamo, and the Portland Timbers will host the Vancouver Whitecaps. That is the upcoming schedule, and now, let's take a look at my MLS Fantasy tips.

MLS Fantasy Tips

There are some good fixtures and opportunities to earn a lot of Fantasy points for Week 13, I think. Some of the teams have double-game weeks, meaning that you could get even more points. One player that I think would be a good choice is Diego Fagundez. Yes, he's playing on the road, but the NE Revolution, the hottest team in MLS right now, is playing a completely out-of-sorts Montréal Impact. I think that he'll pitch in goal or an assist. Another player that I think might score big this round is Dom Dwyer on Sporting KC. He's scored goals left and right this season, and Sporting KC have a good schedule up ahead, meaning that he could get points, and you could get other Kansas City players. Another player that I'm seriously looking at is Patrick Mullins. The rookie has scored four goals in four games this season, and he's averaged about seven points per game. I think that he can get a lot of points against the Montréal Impact. Another inexpensive player that you might want to look at is Gonzalo Pineda. He's averaged about six points per game in his last three, and he scored a classy penalty goal against Vancouver. With the Sounders' absences due to injuries or international call-ups, I think that he's provided a lot of leadership and experience. Other players that you should consider are Maximiliano Urruti and Gastón Fernández. The two of them have created a lot of goals, and the Portland Timbers will be playing two games this upcoming week. Take a look at the schedule, and I think that there will be a great week in MLS Fantasy.

Soccer Blog - Week 12

Hello, everybody, and welcome to another article of Super Soccer Ian. We had another exciting week of MLS soccer, and the biggest news is that USMNT head coach Jürgen Klinsmann named his 30-man roster for the 2014 FIFA World Cup. Now, let's take a quick look at the Round 11 results.

then won 2-0 over the NY Red Bulls, and DC United tied 1-1 with the Montréal Impact. The NE Revolution won 5-3 on the road against the Philadelphia Union, and FC Dallas tied 1-1 with Chivas USA. The Houston Dynamo beat the LA Galaxy 1-0, and Real Salt Lake won 2-1 against the Colorado Rapids. The Seattle Sounders beat the SJ Earthquakes 1-0, and the 10-men Portland Timbers come back against the Columbus Crew to tie 3-3. The Chicago Fire then won 2-1 over Sporting KC. Those are the most recent results, and now, let's take a look at the upcoming schedule.

Upcoming Schedule

This will be another one of those rounds when some teams have double games. The first game will be between DC United and the Houston Dynamo. The LA Galaxy will then play FC Dallas, and Sporting KC will host Toronto FC. The NY Red Bulls will host the Portland Timbers, and the Seattle Sounders and Vancouver Whitecaps will clash at BC Place. The Columbus Crew will host the Chicago Fire, and the NE Revolution will play DC United. The Colorado Rapids will play the Montréal Impact, and Real Salt Lake will clash with FC Dallas. The Philadelphia Union will be on the road to play the LA Galaxy, and the final game of the round will be between the SJ Earthquakes and Houston Dynamo. That is the upcoming schedule, and now, let's take a look at my MLS Fantasy tips.

MLS Fantasy Tips

This is another double game week for some teams, which is a good opportunity to get some of those big point earners and rack up the points. One player that I'm definitely looking at is David Horst. He's only $6.6 million, and he's averaged about six points per game in his last three. Plus, he has a double game week. He is someone you should absolutely get on your fantasy team. Another player that you should get is Obafemi Martins. Yes, he's playing on the road, but the Whitecaps will be without Steven Beitashour, who's one of their main defensive generators. He put on a great show against San Jose, and in his last three games, he's been averaging about seven points per game. I would also suggest getting Javier Morales. He will be playing at home against an FC Dallas team that are winless in their last five, and have not been excellent on the road. Plus, Morales has averaged about fourteen points per game in his last three! He's your man to get you good points. Take a look at the schedule, pay attention to who's playing at home, and I think that this week has good opportunities to rack up the points.
