Hello, everybody, and welcome to another article of Super Soccer Ian. We had another week filled with exciting goals, including Landon Donovan's 135th, which broke the all-time MLS record for goals. Let's get started by reviewing the scores of Round 12's games.

Round 12 Results

The first game of the round was a 2-0 win for DC United over the Houston Dynamo. The LA Galaxy then won 2-1 over FC Dallas, and Sporting KC drew 2-2 with Toronto FC. The Portland Timbers won

2-1 on the road against the NY Red Bulls, and The Vancouver Whitecaps tied 2-2 with the Seattle Sounders. The Columbus Crew won 2-0 over the Chicago Fire, and the NE Revolution won 2-1 over DC United. The Colorado Rapids then beat the Montréal Impact 4-1, and Real Salt Lake tied 0-0 with FC Dallas. The LA Galaxy then won 4-1 over the Philadelphia Union, and the SJ Earthquakes beat the Houston Dynamo 3-0. Those are the most recent results. Now, let's take a look at the upcoming fixtures.

Upcoming Schedule

Things will start off with a matchup between Sporting KC and the NY Red Bulls. Then, Chivas USA will host the Portland Timbers, and Real Salt Lake and the Seattle Sounders will clash at CenturyLink Field. Toronto FC will host the Columbus Crew, and DC United will host Sporting KC. The Montréal Impact will play the NE Revolution, and the SJ Earthquakes will travel to play FC Dallas. Chivas USA will host the Philadelphia Union, and the Chicago Fire will play the LA Galaxy. The Colorado Rapids will play the Houston Dynamo, and the Portland Timbers will host the Vancouver Whitecaps. That is the upcoming schedule, and now, let's take a look at my MLS Fantasy tips.

MLS Fantasy Tips

There are some good fixtures and opportunities to earn a lot of Fantasy points for Week 13, I think. Some of the teams have double-game weeks, meaning that you could get even more points. One player that I think would be a good choice is Diego Fagundez. Yes, he's playing on the road, but the NE Revolution, the hottest team in MLS right now, is playing a completely out-of-sorts Montréal Impact. I think that he'll pitch in goal or an assist. Another player that I think might score big this round is Dom Dwyer on Sporting KC. He's scored goals left and right this season, and Sporting KC have a good schedule up ahead, meaning that he could get points, and you could get other Kansas City players. Another player that I'm seriously looking at is Patrick Mullins. The rookie has scored four goals in four games this season, and he's averaged about seven points per game. I think that he can get a lot of points against the Montréal Impact. Another inexpensive player that you might want to look at is Gonzalo Pineda. He's averaged about six points per game in his last three, and he scored a classy penalty goal against Vancouver. With the Sounders' absences due to injuries or international call-ups, I think that he's provided a lot of leadership and experience. Other players that you should consider are Maximiliano Urruti and Gastón Fernández. The two of them have created a lot of goals, and the Portland Timbers will be playing two games this upcoming week. Take a look at the schedule, and I think that there will be a great week in MLS Fantasy.

Last Week's Question of the Week Answer: Lee Nguyen

This Week's Question of the Week: Portland Timbers midfielder Diego Valeri played from 2003-2013 for Lanús in Argentina. Which other Portland Timbers player played for Lanús?

Soccer Blog - Week 12

Hello, everybody, and welcome to another article of Super Soccer Ian. We had another exciting week of MLS soccer, and the biggest news is that USMNT head coach Jürgen Klinsmann named his 30-man roster for the 2014 FIFA World Cup. Now, let's take a quick look at the Round 11 results.

Round 11 Results

then won 2-0 over the NY Red Bulls, and DC United tied 1-1 with the Montréal Impact. The NE Revolution won 5-3 on the road against the Philadelphia Union, and FC Dallas tied 1-1 with Chivas USA. The Houston Dynamo beat the LA Galaxy 1-0, and Real Salt Lake won 2-1 against the Colorado Rapids. The Seattle Sounders beat the SJ Earthquakes 1-0, and the 10-men Portland Timbers come back against the Columbus Crew to tie 3-3. The Chicago Fire then won 2-1 over Sporting KC. Those are the most recent results, and now, let's take a look at the upcoming schedule.

Upcoming Schedule

This will be another one of those rounds when some teams have double games. The first game will be between DC United and the Houston Dynamo. The LA Galaxy will then play FC Dallas, and Sporting KC will host Toronto FC. The NY Red Bulls will host the Portland Timbers, and the Seattle Sounders and Vancouver Whitecaps will clash at BC Place. The Columbus Crew will host the Chicago Fire, and the NE Revolution will play DC United. The Colorado Rapids will play the Montréal Impact, and Real Salt Lake will clash with FC Dallas. The Philadelphia Union will be on the road to play the LA Galaxy, and the final game of the round will be between the SJ Earthquakes and Houston Dynamo. That is the upcoming schedule, and now, let's take a look at my MLS Fantasy tips.

MLS Fantasy Tips

This is another double game week for some teams, which is a good opportunity to get some of those big point earners and rack up the points. One player that I'm definitely looking at is David Horst. He's only $6.6 million, and he's averaged about six points per game in his last three. Plus, he has a double game week. He is someone you should absolutely get on your fantasy team. Another player that you should get is Obafemi Martins. Yes, he's playing on the road, but the Whitecaps will be without Steven Beitashour, who's one of their main defensive generators. He put on a great show against San Jose, and in his last three games, he's been averaging about seven points per game. I would also suggest getting Javier Morales. He will be playing at home against an FC Dallas team that are winless in their last five, and have not been excellent on the road. Plus, Morales has averaged about fourteen points per game in his last three! He's your man to get you good points. Take a look at the schedule, pay attention to who's playing at home, and I think that this week has good opportunities to rack up the points.

Soccer Blog - Week 11

Hello, everybody, and welcome to another article of Super Soccer Ian. We had another exciting week, with a lot of goals! There has also been some big news lately, including Manchester City winning the Premier League Title, and USMNT head coach Jürgen Klinsmann naming his 2014 World Cup roster. Let's get started with viewing the most recent results.

Round 10 Results

Things started off with a 1-0 win for the Houston Dynamo over the Columbus Crew. Then, the Sounders won 2-1 late against FC Dallas. The SJ Earthquakes and Colorado Rapids tied 0-0, and Sporting KC won 3-0 on the road against the Montréal Impact. DC United also won on the road, which they did 1-0 against the Philadelphia Union. Chicago Fire rookie Harrison Shipp led the Fire

into a 5-4 road victory over the NY Red Bulls, Shipp putting in three goals, along with an assist. Bradley Wright-Phillips got another hat trick for the Red Bulls in that game. The Vancouver Whitecaps won 1-0 on the road against the Columbus Crew, and the SJ Earthquakes beat FC Dallas 2-1. The Portland Timbers tied 1-1 with the LA Galaxy, both teams scoring in stoppage time, and Chivas USA won 3-1 on the road against the Colorado Rapids. The NE Revolution had a whopping 5-0 win over the Sounders, and Real Salt Lake won 5-2 on the road against the Houston Dynamo. Those are the most recent results, and now, let's take a look at the upcoming schedule.

Upcoming Schedule

The only team that will have a bye is Vancouver. This is another one of those rounds when a few teams have double game weeks. The first game of the round will be against Sporting KC and the Philadelphia Union. Toronto FC will then host the NY Red Bulls, and the Montréal Impact will travel to play DC United. The Philadelphia Union will then host the NE Revolution, and FC Dallas will play Chivas USA. The Houston Dynamo and LA Galaxy will face off at BBVA Compass Stadium, and Real Salt Lake will host the Colorado Rapids for the Rocky Mountain Cup. The Seattle Sounders will then host the SJ Earthquakes. The Portland Timbers and Columbus Crew will clash at Providence Park, and Sporting KC will then travel to play the Chicago Fire. Those are the upcoming fixtures, and now, let's take a look at my MLS Fantasy tips.

MLS Fantasy Tips

Because there are some double-game weeks for some teams ahead, you should pay attention to the schedule. Also note that just for this round, there are unlimited transfers so that you can fix up your team and trade the players on international duty. One player that I recommend getting on your fantasy team is Javier Morales. He had a hat trick against the Houston Dynamo, and will not be on international duty, and he will be playing at home agains the Rapids, who recently lost to Chivas USA. I would also suggest getting Bradley Wright-Phillips. He now leads MLS with goals, and he has already had two hat tricks. He will be playing on the road against Toronto FC, who have lost three straight games. I would also suggest getting players like Harrison Shipp, Bobby Boswell, or Diego Valeri. Somebody that I have on my team that I think is a good choice is Obafemi Martins. He is not going to be on international duty, and he will be playing Dempsey's role. Plus, he already has four goals and six assists in just eleven games. Take a look at the schedule, and keep the international absences in mind, and also note that you have unlimited transfers for Round 11. Those are my MLS Fantasy tips.

Round 10 Question of the Week Answer: Kenny Cooper

Soccer Blog - Week 10

Hello, everybody, and welcome to another blogpost of Super Soccer Ian. We had another exciting round, and there were some pretty big wins and losses, goals and goals conceded. Next week, we have a busy, busy round, with some double-game weeks, and some good opportunities for you to rack up the MLS Fantasy points. Now, let's take a look at the recent results.

Round 9 Results

Things started off with a 2-1 win on the road for the NE Revolution against Toronto FC. The

Vancouver Whitecaps won 3-2, and the SJ Earthquakes actually got two goals at the end, but however, the comeback fell short. Real Salt Lake also made a 3-2 comeback, being down two goals and coming back to win the game. The Colorado Rapids won 1-0 over the LA Galaxy, and the Seattle Sounders put in an excellent come-from-behind performance against the Philadelphia Union, winning the match 2-1. The Houston Dynamo also came from behind to win 4-1 against Chivas USA, and the Portland Timbers finally got their first win of the season, in a 3-2 victory over DC United. The NY Red Bulls won 1-0 on the road against FC Dallas, and Sporting KC won 2-0 over the Columbus Crew. Those are the most recent results, and now, let's take a look at the upcoming schedule.

Upcoming Schedule

Like I said, we have a busy, busy round coming up, and there are some teams playing two games. Things will start off with the Houston Dynamo hosting the Columbus Crew, and then the Seattle Sounders will host FC Dallas. The Colorado Rapids will travel to play the SJ Earthquakes, and the Montréal Impact will play Sporting KC. The Philadelphia Union will play DC United, and the NY Red Bulls will play the Chicago Fire at Red Bull Arena. The Columbus Crew will then host the Vancouver Whitecaps, and FC Dallas will travel to play the SJ Earthquakes. The Portland Timbers will host the LA Galaxy, and Chivas USA will travel to play the Colorado Rapids. Clint Dempsey and the Seattle Sounders will travel to play the NE Revolution, and the final game of the round will be between the Houston Dynamo and Real Salt Lake. Those are the games coming up, and now, let's take a look at my MLS Fantasy tips.

MLS Fantasy Tips

Because this is a double-game week for some teams, it is a good opportunity to sign some of the big names onto your team. One player that I'm seriously looking at for this round is Brad Davis. He has made an immediate impact since returning from that ankle injury, and he has a double-game week, and even better, both of the Dynamo's games are at home. Another player that has a double-game week with two games at home is Shea Salinas. He's excellent with set pieces, and can create opportunities for the aerial threats on the Earthquakes, such as Chris Wondolowski or Alan Gordon. I think that Clint Dempsey, by now, should be on just about everybody's team. I got him onto mine against the Union, and although he didn't get a goal or an assist in that game, he's currently the hottest player in the MLS, and he has a game at home against FC Dallas, and the Sounders will be playing again on the road against the NE Revolution. Other players to consider would be Kekuta Manneh, Pedro Morales, Dom Dwyer, or Erick "el Cubo" Torres. The lists are just too long to say. Take a look at the schedule and who's playing at home, and also, consider getting the PK Takers for the teams. Those are my MLS Fantasy picks for the upcoming round.

Question of the Week:

Sounders striker Kenny Cooper played for 1860 Munich from 2009-2011. Which former NE Revolution player played for 1860 Munich II from 1999-2002?
