Soccer Blog - Week 11

Hello, everybody, and welcome to another article of Super Soccer Ian. We had another exciting week, with a lot of goals! There has also been some big news lately, including Manchester City winning the Premier League Title, and USMNT head coach Jürgen Klinsmann naming his 2014 World Cup roster. Let's get started with viewing the most recent results.

Round 10 Results

Things started off with a 1-0 win for the Houston Dynamo over the Columbus Crew. Then, the Sounders won 2-1 late against FC Dallas. The SJ Earthquakes and Colorado Rapids tied 0-0, and Sporting KC won 3-0 on the road against the Montréal Impact. DC United also won on the road, which they did 1-0 against the Philadelphia Union. into a 5-4 road victory over the NY Red Bulls, Shipp putting in three goals, along with an assist. Bradley Wright-Phillips got another hat trick for the Red Bulls in that game. The Vancouver Whitecaps won 1-0 on the road against the Columbus Crew, and the SJ Earthquakes beat FC Dallas 2-1. The Portland Timbers tied 1-1 with the LA Galaxy, both teams scoring in stoppage time, and Chivas USA won 3-1 on the road against the Colorado Rapids. The NE Revolution had a whopping 5-0 win over the Sounders, and Real Salt Lake won 5-2 on the road against the Houston Dynamo. Those are the most recent results, and now, let's take a look at the upcoming schedule.

Upcoming Schedule

The only team that will have a bye is Vancouver. This is another one of those rounds when a few teams have double game weeks. The first game of the round will be against Sporting KC and the Philadelphia Union. Toronto FC will then host the NY Red Bulls, and the Montréal Impact will travel to play DC United. The Philadelphia Union will then host the NE Revolution, and FC Dallas will play Chivas USA. The Houston Dynamo and LA Galaxy will face off at BBVA Compass Stadium, and Real Salt Lake will host the Colorado Rapids for the Rocky Mountain Cup. The Seattle Sounders will then host the SJ Earthquakes. The Portland Timbers and Columbus Crew will clash at Providence Park, and Sporting KC will then travel to play the Chicago Fire. Those are the upcoming fixtures, and now, let's take a look at my MLS Fantasy tips.

MLS Fantasy Tips

Because there are some double-game weeks for some teams ahead, you should pay attention to the schedule. Also note that just for this round, there are unlimited transfers so that you can fix up your team and trade the players on international duty. One player that I recommend getting on your fantasy team is Javier Morales. He had a hat trick against the Houston Dynamo, and will not be on international duty, and he will be playing at home agains the Rapids, who recently lost to Chivas USA. I would also suggest getting Bradley Wright-Phillips. He now leads MLS with goals, and he has already had two hat tricks. He will be playing on the road against Toronto FC, who have lost three straight games. I would also suggest getting players like Harrison Shipp, Bobby Boswell, or Diego Valeri. Somebody that I have on my team that I think is a good choice is Obafemi Martins. He is not going to be on international duty, and he will be playing Dempsey's role. Plus, he already has four goals and six assists in just eleven games. Take a look at the schedule, and keep the international absences in mind, and also note that you have unlimited transfers for Round 11. Those are my MLS Fantasy tips.
